Latta Municipal Court is part of the unified judicial system of the State of South Carolina. The Court has jurisdiction over all cases rising under municipal ordinances. Generally, the Court has jurisdiction over criminal cases which rise under state statute in which the penalty does not exceed a $500.00 fine, imprisonment of 30 days, or both. However, due to changes in state statute, these limitations have been waived for certain crimes and jurisdiction has been granted to the Court.
